We do not have any workshops scheduled at this time. Our off-grid efficient Solargon cabin, along with the barn and associated solar photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, is nearing completion. We will offer workshops with a strong hands-on and "kick the tires" component so that participants are able to gain direct experience with several aspects of home energy technology.
Please let us know if you have any interest in workshops -including direct and hands-on experience with the technolgy - on the following subjects:
-Solar photovoltaic systems including modules, mounting systems, wiring and electrical code requirements, batteries, charge controller, and inverter.
-Solar thermal systems including collectors, plumbing, thermal storage tanks, heat exchangers, and integration with both domestic hot water as well as space heating systems.
-Well, solar-powered well pump, water storage, pressurization, and heating
