Americans face fundamental changes in energy and resource use. The way we live our lives – which is closely connected to our use of energy and environmental resources – will be forced to change. At Cultural Energy, we envision a future in which our society will have found productive pathways to prosperity using far less energy/resources per person than we use today, in which we waste far less than we waste today, and in which we will be using not only new technologies but also new ways of going about our lives than we use today. Although wrenching in some ways, these changes in society and culture also represent great opportunity. A new American economy can and will be built on a fundamentally new energy and resource infrastructure that recognizes the limits of our impacts upon our planet. Cultural Energy provides people with common sense ideas, tools, experiences, and educational opportunities to ease transition toward this new culture.
